Accredited Calibration Laboratory

During the years METLAB has acquired specific capabilities in the field of temperature measurements.

From June 5th, 2019 METLAB is an Accredited Calibration Laboratory (LAT Center no. 280) for temperature measurements.

Accreditation issued by ACCREDIA, the unique Accreditation Body in Italy, is the official recognition of the laboratory's competence in carrying out specific calibrations in accordance with the requirements of the UNI CEI EN ISO / IEC 17025 standard. Being ACCREDIA a signatory of the Mutual Recognition Agreements ILAC / MRA, the recognition as an accredited calibration center has international significance.

METLAB is able to carry out accredited calibrations, in thetemperature range from -40 °C to 1100 °C, of the following instruments:

• Resistance thermometers

• Noble metal thermocouples

• Based metal thermocouples

• Thermometric chains with resistance thermometers, thermistors and thermocouples

The LAT Center no. 280 can experimentally evaluate the homogeneity chacteristics of the wires of a thermocouple, analyzing the e.m.f. produced by the same at 150 °C, with continuous variation of the immersion depth on as significant portion of the length of the thermoelements.
